Journal prompt ideas for self-development
Now, I don’t know about you, but I used to love buying cute journals and I never got into the habit of writing in them. That is, until now.
At that point, I was simply collecting them. However, I didn’t know the importance of journaling and the benefits that came with it. Because writing in a journal helps you stay in the present moment, it allows you to practice mindfulness.
Think of Journaling as more than a diary because you can write about anything you want without fear of being judged. The range of topics is endless!
First things first, buy a journal that you love. Look at the cover and the pages, ask yourself if this is something you see yourself writing in? If so, you’ve found the one! If not, keep looking.. you’re bound to find the perfect journal that fits your style.
Now that you have your journal, you may begin writing.
“Could bitching and moaning on paper for five minutes each morning change your life? As crazy as it might seem, I believe the answer is yes.” – Tim Ferriss

This topic is a reflection of who you are and your beliefs. The questions are worded in such a way that it’ll make you give your life some serious thought.

Another important journal topic, because it helps boost our self-esteem by increasing our confidence level. This one is pretty straight-forward, it brings out the best of you, so you can embrace it.

You want to be as honest and detailed as possible, so that you can improve in these areas of your life. Whether its journaling about how your day went or answering questions that allow for deeper input, it is shown to provide benefits to your health & mental well-being.
Personally, it has helped me control my emotions and reflect on my true potential. Think of journaling, like a diary to de-stress and a solo therapy session where you have the opportunity to improve on areas only you can become aware of. Which is why I’m sharing this information with you, so that you, too, can reap the benefits.
